Welcome to Hike Vancouver Island! As the sister site of Island Alpine Guides, we are brought to you by the same great team of professional guides you’ve come to know and trust, but with more focussed content for those of you who are primarily interested in hiking. We aim to be your definitive resource for all things hiking on Vancouver Island, and to help make your next backcountry adventure a reality.
Over the years, our selection of courses and trips have grown, and our offerings have expanded beyond their original “Island Alpine Guides'' umbrella, which was originally geared towards more technical pursuits. Moving forward, our hiking related trips and backcountry fundamentals courses will have a home of their own. With this new and more focussed site, we aim to feature all the great hiking opportunities our region has to offer, not only in the Island’s alpine, but also on our wonderful coastline and everywhere in between.
